Taking that leap into the world of business is certainly scary and exciting at the same time. The fear of the unknown or the drive to move us out of our comfort zone is what propels a lot of us. Our next case study was both challenging and hugely rewarding. We had a meeting with a new business owner who had been made redundant and was looking to get a new business off the ground selling nurses accessories. Now the task was to create and build an online store (back in the days when we built websites), that would be easily accessible, enticing to buy from and to be found online for a whole host of accessories for the medical profession.
Now anyone who knows anything about SEO (Search engine Optimisation), knows that it is much more difficult to get a site found with a new domain which is what this site had! Let me explain, Google places more trust on domain names that are older, as they think that this site is much more likely to be around in the long term and therefore they almost prioritise the older domains in the results.

Now, the site was built and finished to a high standard and then we set to work on getting the site found. We worked extremely closely with the site owner as they were constantly adding in new products, images and descriptions. These had to all tie in with what we were trying to achieve for them. We looked at the competition and certainly the more established ones, and saw how successful they were, but we wanted more for our client, which was ambitious considering. However not daunted by the task ahead we set to work on optimising and getting the website found, which today is the most successful Nurses Superstore available online today in the UK. It is well known that this is the place to go to for nurses’ accessories.
We designed and built this concept from scratch and then got it found and still to this day it enjoys the lion’s share of business for their chosen market across the UK!
